This was the view from a HUGE bridge as we were leaving Savannah and heading to Charleston. This bridge was redone so that just about any boat in the U.S. can go down this river in Savannah. (Fun fact courtesy of our Trolly Tour driver!!)
1 of 189 churches in Charleston. This church was on one corner of an intersection in town where all four branches of law are represented. God's Law, City Law, State Law, and Federal Law! No building in Charleston can be taller than the church steeples.
This is one of many beautiful houses in Charleston. I loved the way they were designed and the looked historic to me although the tour guide said some of them were constructed to look "old" when really they were new. Most of them were one room wide and about 3 or 4 rooms deep. They also had a long porch (piaza - sp?) on the side but it had a huge door it even though it was an open area.
